The Services of the church include all those things the members of the congregation are doing to serve our Lord, both individually and as a group--large or small. Some of those services include the most traditionally recognized Weekly Worship & Sunday School or Bible Study, on Sundays. Worship is, in fact, one of the most important acts of service to our Lord that we engage in. But worship and service are so intimately related that sometimes it is impossible to seperate them, or to know which is which.
For example, we believe that singing, preaching, Bible study, sharing testimonies, praise, and prayer are all fairly common expressions of worship. But we also believe that sharing a drink with a thirsty individual is an act of worship, as we serve the Lord in obedience to His direct command to care for others. That would include housing the homeless, feeding the hungry, clothing and caring for those in need. It might also include childcare for those struggling with such needs. Encouraging the discouraged, depressed, and weary are valuable service and acts of worship. We believe that pursuing justice for the oppressed is a service and act of worship. You might see the trend.
Our services are limited only by the awareness of need or opportunity, and our willingness to be obedient to our Lord.
