Calcium Community Church is, indeed, a community church.

We are a local, autonomous, family church, that traces it's roots back to the 1800's.  From the early beginnings through today, the church remains a truly diverse congregation of various opinions and doctrinal persuasions. We come from various backgrounds, some Baptist, Christian Church, Episcopal, Methodist, Presbyterian, Congregational and Catholic.  But one over-arching truth bonds us together:

Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the one, true, living God. He is the One Who brought grace to us while we were yet unappreciative, unaware, sinners. The blood of His sacrifice covers our sins.

We are among the least deserving, and most thankful. We worship Him because He is God.  We praise Him because He is worthy.  We proclaim Him because He is gracious, merciful, kind, and people need to know.  We embrace His Holy Spirit to live the life of disciples, with conviction, courage, and confidence. We will be like Him by His power. He is our Lord. We will serve Him.

We associate with other local Churches, area and regional groups who share the common goal of serving the King and building the Kingdom, with no particular preference or respect for denomination.  Our national and worldwide associations are few (ABC-USA, International Ministries, Gideons, and InterAct Ministries), and expressly for the purpose of participating in the largest possible mission outreach.

We are followers of Jesus, disciples of the Christ.  We are not perfect, indeed, far from it.  But we are committed to becoming more like Jesus every day we live.

Jesus said that everything He did, we will do, and more, because of the Holy Spirit.  We invite the Holy Spirit to re-create us to be like Jesus.  We long to do the things He did--healing the sick, blessing the poor, speaking the truth, creating justice, raising the dead, loving the Father, worshipping, serving, sacrificing ourselves for the redemption of our world.

We look for His return, and will serve Him until that day.
